Good afternoon from London! Just kidding. Good evening from Kuala Lumpur!!
I know, I lied when I said I was going to update you guys as soon as I’ve settled down and I’m sorry I didn’t. But! I have an explanation. I honestly have been meaning to keep you guys posted earlier! I promiseee. However, I realised when I arrived there that I didn’t bring my laptop with me! So that’s what I forgot. -___- It was hilarious because my charger was with me but my laptop wasn’t. *face-palm* Even if I did bring it along, I doubt I would have been able to find the time to do much.
On Monday (day of arrival), we touched down in Heathrow Airport at around 5:20pm local time and by the time we reached the hotel, my dad practiced his every-vacation ritual: deciding who shares a room with who. Guess who I got..
Can’t describe how antisocial fun she was. Such a bundle of joy.
With a pretend mute as a roomie, I didn’t have to worry about getting enough rest after every tiring day of walking about.
Just look at how drained I look just as we arrived.
Fine, I didn’t look so tired.
Because I wasn’t! I was so excited to begin jalan-jalan. But we didn’t. Not on the first day. But I didn’t disapprove of that idea at all because who would want to ever go outdoors again if you’re staying in a place like this..
*drools*
The following day we headed out to Covent Garden and did a little shopping. By little, I mean a teensy-weensy bit. We were all still afraid of spending too much because it was only our first day out. It was more of a place to eat rather than a place to shop but it was total perfection nonetheless. It was a great day out with the family accompanied by the best weather.
And then to Neal’s Garden.
I know it looks great but but but.. there’s nothing much there. So if you’re planning to go all the way to London to see these rainbow-painted buildings, I’m just gonna be upfront and say that it’ll not be worth it. But it was nice to look at for like two seconds before I got bored so you should definitely drop by if you’re anywhere nearby.
After that, we stepped into a cab and the driver asked where to. We said to wash our eyes thinking we were so funny and burst out laughing hysterically. The driver must have had a bad day that day or is just humourless because he didn’t even smile! We went to Selfridges & Co. to ‘cuci mata’.
Instead of browsing around all the expensive burning-holes-in-husbands-pockets-everyday stores, I left the rest to go on an adventure on my own.
TO THE FOOD HALL!
Then I saw some flowers and couldn’t resist so I went taking pictures..
..until the florist shoo-ed me away. Sheesh. Bad day as well?
Then we ended our day with the best spaghetti in the world!!! Or maybe, I don’t always order pasta so I woulnd’t know. But this Spaghetti Lobster I ordered from Signor Sassi was sooo yummy.
On the days after, we went college-visiting, shopping and eating at so many good places but I didn’t take many photos after because I wanted to momentarily ignore my phone and enjoy the rest of the trip but I still took pictures occasionally, of course.
Here’s us at the zoo! Just look at all the friendly monkeys wanting to take selfies with me!
Think I should have been an orang utan.
I DON’T KNOW WHY IT LOOKS SO SAD! It gets all the food without having to work for it and it was going to be a handbag if not trapped here in the glass prison-like place….. Oh, that’s why.
After reading these signs, I only dared to get close to this tiger.
The bum is so cute! Okay, it isn’t. I just took it to send to my sister back in KL saying “I FOUND YOU!”
Uh oh, my mum just called me! I have to go now. I’m so sorry! I will continue tomorrow. Goodnight everyone!
